It was an Italy dominated half with Balotelli scoring two goals. A cross by Cassano and a through ball by Montolivo. That is all Mario Balotelli required.
There was a chance for Germany to score with a volley from Sami Khedira, slowed by Buffon and eventually stopped from crossing into the nets by Andrea Pirlo.
Second Half will be an intense one with Germany desperate to make changes.
